The in-person workshop of the 2026 Chemical Safety Policy Youth Forum, run by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment (MCEE), was held on August 13 in the Main Conference Room, 3F, KBIZ DMC Tower (Seoul). PicChem Inc., a partner of EHS Friends, took part in mentoring the participating youth teams at the workshop.

The Youth Forum is a venue for discussing current chemical safety policy issues from the perspective of future generations and for proposing policies. It has been run since 2024 as part of the Chemical Safety Policy Forum, which brings together government, industry, civil society and academia. This year, 20 teams selected through a written screening took part under the theme “A Safe Society Envisioned by Future Generations,” and this workshop was held to help the teams choose their topics.

After the workshop and mentoring, the teams presented their policy proposals on September 17. The eight award-winning teams were announced on September 30, and the awards ceremony is scheduled for November 16 at the Chemical Safety Policy Forum's Stakeholders' Day.

PicChem is PicChem Inc.'s AI service for chemical management, and EHS Friends participated in its development as a chemical-management domain partner.
