On August 12, at a research seminar held by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) and the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL), PicChem Inc. gave a presentation titled “Future Directions for the Material Safety Data Sheet Submission System in Light of Denmark's PROBAS.”
PROBAS is the online system for reporting hazardous chemical products to the product register of the Danish Working Environment Authority (Arbejdstilsynet). In Denmark, companies that manufacture or import hazardous chemical products for occupational use in quantities at or above a set threshold report the full composition of those products through this system. Drawing on this case, the presentation discussed the direction Korea's material safety data sheet (MSDS) submission system should take.
PicChem Inc. is the company that makes PicChem, an AI service for chemical management, and EHS Friends participated in PicChem's development as a chemical-management domain partner.
